Hope is Here Tour and Servanthood

Last night my church hosted a concert for the bands Zoe Worship & Mosaic MSC.  Chad Veach also spoke at the end.  It was pretty amazing.  The worship was so good.  I loved seeing these teens and young adults so pumped up and fired up for God.  It was inspiring.  And Chad's message!  Wow!  So good!

And as good as all of that was, I walked away from last night's event with my bucket so spiritually full but not from the music or preaching but from the display of servanthood I witnessed.

Just a little background.... I wasn't going to go to the concert.  I had never heard of Mosaic or even Chad Veach!  Apparently I've been living under a rock!!  However, I received an email asking me to serve on the church's green room team for the event and I quickly agreed.  Why not serve and then get to sit in?  Kind of a no brainer!

Btw... here's a link to the tour if you're interested.  I recommend it!  Hope is Here Tour

So, my church has a pretty amazing dream team.  The dream team is made up of different members of our church.  They serve in all different areas of the church.  Anywhere from security, kids zone, parking lot, green room, sound, etc...
But because I was serving in the green room that is what I'm going to talk about today.

What I witnessed last night was a beautiful display of servanthood.

Friday Favorites ~ Crushing on Navy

I love blue but tend to gravitate towards aqua and lighter shades of blue but lately I've been crushing on Navy blue.

It just feels so classic and clean.  Not sure why Navy feels "clean" to me!  lol

Beautiful Sideboard

I am extremely blessed to have friends that will call or text me with leads to cheap or free furniture.  In the past I would take the piece when it was a good deal without really taking the time to scrutinize it to see if it was really something I'd want taking up precious real estate in my garage.

Not anymore.

Now, I'll ask to see pictures and have even walked away from a piece or two if it didn't have good bones or if it needed a lot of work.  Why?  Because there really isn't a shortage of free or cheap furniture and I'd rather get a piece I really like than something I'm taking just because it's free or worse, because I feel obligated.

I know, I know I've been MIA!  It's SUMMER!!!  ...and well, I don't seem to have a lot of time for blogging.  I LOVE SUMMER!  lol

I have managed to paint a few pieces in between a few vacays and day trips.

The Farmhouse Half Moon Table

I found this piece on a selling site.  It was priced at $20.  I love these half moon tables and they usually sell pretty quickly in my booth.

When Your Mom Is in Heaven on Mother's Day

My mom passed away in 2009.  My first Mother's Day without her was extremely painful.  As the days crept up to Mother's Day that year, I anticipated it with great fear.
